OUR FACULTY & STAFF

The faculty and staff at the MS 266 are an energetic team of educators. Our teachers are trained and have taught in  schools all around the world. They bring their combined experience to form a rich project based curriculum here in Brooklyn. Together we learn from each other’s experiences and are motivated to work with cooperation and enthusiasm. Collaboration in planning and action encourages a school-wide interest and a deep feeling of responsibility.

PHYSICAL EDUCATION

ARTIST &  DESIGNER

Mr. Wizwer is a graduate from SUNY Cortland with a degree in Physical Education. Before joining Park Place Community School he worked with children in a variety of camps across the state of NY. Joshua is an assistant coach for the Brooklyn College men's basketball team.

Mr Barclift has been creating art and design for over twenty years creating art for various schools and institutions. Before joining Park Place community school he taught art at several district middle schools. He loves traveling internationally with his family.

SPECIAL EDUCATION TEACHER

Dr. Kai-Lewis is committed to promoting a love of lifelong learning among students. She has taught elementary and middle school students across New York City. Additionally, she served as a committee member and online facilitator for the New York City Department of Education’s Department of Online and Blended Learning. Dr. Kai-Lewis completed her undergraduate studies at Spelman College and graduate studies at both the University of California, Los Angeles and Long Island University-Brooklyn. Apart from her educational work, Dr. Kai-Lewis is a public ethnomusicologist who enjoys researching African hip-hop, writing academic articles, and sharing her work at conferences.

MS.  MAYERS

Mrs. Mayers believes that every child has a special gift and purpose in this world. Her favorite quote is, "education is the passport to he future, for tomorrow belongs to those who prepare for it today."

MATHEMATICS TEACHER

Mrs. McGee has taught for many years in all subjects and all grade levels. This year, Mrs. McGee is teaching Math. She believes that all students can learn and be successful. Mrs. McGee attended University of Florida and University of South Florida culminating with a Masters degree in Education.

ELA/SOCIAL STUDIES TEACHER

Mr. Croxton has been teaching ELA and Social Studies at Park Place since 2020. He began teaching following a career in music and publishing. He attended James Madison University as an undergrad, and received his Masters in Special and General Education at Concordia College. He bikes to work year round and lives in Brooklyn with his wife and two kids.

GUIDANCE COUNSELOR

Ms. Guadagno is a former history teacher and ISS Teacher for over 10 years.  She love comedy shows and movies, love comic books and geek sheek. She Love her 2 tiny dogs going to the beach and hiking.  She loves all things counseling and reading up on new techniques.
